Empty glass jars have been sitting in my kitchen for months.   Big dreams from Pinterest boards were dancing through my head.  The plant I wouldn’t kill.

Maybe.

Perhaps a plant with its own eco system could survive my red thumbs?

With a thick layer of the cold white stuff still outside our doors about 10 short days ago, the kids and I decided to welcome spring into our home, even though mother nature didn’t seem interested.

Some glass jars

A pile of rocks

Some activated carbon (available at the pet shop, in the fish department)

A bit of dirt

and a handful of little plants…Terrariums.

And spring has finally sprung in our home…
